28th Jan

Quick quick card tonight using more of the one sheet wonder page I made on Tuesday. I actually stamped the 'joyeux anniversaire' on the saffron cardstock but it paled into insignifance so I made it stand out a bit more with an olive oval.
Have you bought your 'Greenhouse Garden' set yet?

Jan 27th.

Before I show you my card for today I want to wish a Happy Birthday to Jenny from Stamping Moments, hope you have had a great day.
Today I stumbled across this blog here and I spent at least 10 minutes oohing and aahhing at the colour combinations and pictures of decorative objects there. So I used Melissa's lilac and orange colour combination for my card today. Very quick and easy to do with Circle Circus ©SU!

Thank you for your comments.

I keep forgetting to mention it but thank you so much to everyone who has left me comments in the past few months. It makes it so much more interesting to put messages on the blog when you know that people are passing by to have a look at what you've been up to!

26th Jan

Here's the second card from my 'one sheet wonder' using 'Greenhouse Garden'©SU! This time I didn't ink over the white areas like yesterday and I used grey for the background colour and the taffeta ribbon.

Claire came to the house today and did a version with the same set in rose red, perfect plum and cameo coral. In the space of less than 2 hours she managed to make 8 cards with her one decorated sheet.

Changed my mind for today's card!

I decided to go to back to basics today with a 'one sheet wonder' using the set 'Greenhouse Garden' ©SU! I have a few birthday cards to get caught up on and this is an excellent way of creating a few cards quickly.
I used the colours Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Basic Grey to start off some flowers in a random-ish pattern on a piece of SU! white cardstock.

I then used 'Old Olive' to add the stems of the flowers. It looks a bit messy and cluttered but then...........................................

I cut the paper into rectangular and square sections of different sizes. I ended up with 7 pieces and will make them all up into cards later, each one being unique.

Here's the first one, layered up with co-ordinating cardstock and a few flat backed pearls added for some bling.
Stampin'Up! are donating 1€ for every set of 'Greenhouse Garden' ©SU! sold between now and the end of February to the relief fund for Haiti . I plan to do a group order at the end of next week. Here we have in French the details of the information that SU! sent to the démonstrators.

Kate's 'medallion' cards.

These gorgeous cards were made by Kate in Normandy, I'm sure those of you who follow my blog will recognise her style. I had planned to put these on here on Friday morning before I went to Lyon but time disappeared as it seems to do too often at the moment! Kate bought the medallion stamp just before Christmas and has been very busy with it. I think I might use it for my card for today but you'll have to check back later to see it.

Jan 24th

Well, back to normal again after the trip to Lyon. I need to catch up on the 2 days I missed posting cards here, I'll do that this week!

On Friday night at Val's we were all talking about our favourite SU! sets and I have to admit that the 'Pocket Silhouettes' set is one of my favourites. For this card I took inspiration from the new cushion covers and throws I bought while shopping on Friday afternoon en route to Lyon. I used the rubber left after mounting one of the SAB sets as a template to draw around with a white gel pen. Check out the shapes left when you've mounted your sets because sometimes they can be useful to keep in the box, just peel the rubber layer off the sticky 3D layer.
Anyway, hopefully this card post will keep Muriel happy, she checks up on me until midnight to make sure I am keeping up with my resolution for this month of cardmaking!

21st Jan

Here is today's card, made by stamping the background stamp 'French Filigrée' on top of the Bella Blue designer paper. I used some of SU!'s new buttons which are gorgeous colours and, just for Chantal, I tied some silver elastic through the holes! Chantal is one of my downline and she hates to see buttons on projects without thread through the holes!
I'm off to Lyon tomorrow to stay with Val and then go to a SU! training day on Saturday, I can't wait to catch up with everyone. So, I'll try to post a card in the morning, if not I'll make up for it on Sunday with some extras.

Here are some extras for you anyway - when I arrived at Aline's on Sunday she had a late birthday present for me, a box filled with bath beads and a matching card. I like Aline's style of crafting a lot.
Then, Delf gave me the cutest little box filled with squares of chocolate, not for any reason in particular I don't think which makes it even better. Thanks girls!

Skin of my teeth - 20th Jan

Here's today's effort, gosh it was hard to find half an hour to make a card today, I've been busy cooking for various things, helping make wedding invitations, going to gym class and I don't know what else!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway I used the watercolour wonder crayons and the blender pens to colour in the flowers and then some co-ordinating cardstock to go with the colours chosen. I think I should have added something else in the pumpkin pie colour to bring that out a bit but I was just too tired to think straight.

Sunny Day flip album.

At the weekend I finished off this flip album following Jenny's tutorial here. It's great to do this style of album in bright fresh colours. Today in my SU! order I received the kit 'Histoires d'Amour' and that's my project for this weekend, the colours in that kit will be perfect for a St.Valentine's gift. There are enough materials in each of the scrapbooking kits to make 2 albums and still have some papers, cardstock and embellishments to make some cards or a mini album with.

19th Jan

Today I've copied a card which I saw on Julie's blog here It uses the 'Bons Moments' set and once again is kraft and red, I'm so stuck on these colours right now! I hope you don't mind Julie but I just love the simplicity of this card and the paper pieced layer, this way a lot of French people can look at your blog and see your lovely cards! Lesley and Muriel have been here today and Lesley had a wish list of cards to get through, this being one of them. She also wanted to make a box to use as a gift box containing chocolate truffles, she updated the cookie box we made at Christmas with a flower theme.
