More cards for Christmas

At last I've had some time to make some more Christmas cards for my friend Colleen, hope she likes them. The red ones are using the 'I Wish' Stampin'Up! simply scrapping pack. Last night I spent more than 2 hours colouring in 6 of the old fashioned Santas to make the green card (sage shadow even though it looks blue in the photo). It's a stamp set I wasn't sure I liked but when you use the samples in the catalogue as a starting point it's easy to get a card made.I used watercolour pencils to colour in the Santa, the white pencil looks very effective on the fur of his jacket! Better get back to finishing off the other 5 cards now!

Halloween come early!

These are some pictures from the Halloween lunch we had on Friday with Emma, Thomas, Louis, Valentine and Alice. A bit early but due to the fact that the kids finished school on Friday for holidays. Each year they 'dook for apples' ( involves using only your mouth and teeth to grab an apple out of a bowl of water), they think it's hilarious. It's hardest for the girls who all have long hair! I can remember doing this when I was young as well as eating apples covered in syrup or treacle hanging from a string. At least they all ate the apples afterwards and had a portion of fruit before all their halloween sweets!

Pop-Up cards.

A few weeks ago at Anne's Tuesday scrap class I was happy to make cards instead of scrapbooking because it was World Card Making week! We made a pop up card with a Christmas set called Season of Joy. On Monday afternoon I had 3 friends at the house who all wanted to make birthday cards for one year olds. During Anne's class Rolande adapted Anne's card using a set called 'Unfrogettable' which is on the retiring list, her card gave me the idea for the 3 girls on Monday. This is the card that Joan made on Monday, she even hand drew the lily pad for the frog to sit on! Cute isn't it!

La Gagnante!

La gagnante de mon tombola samedi était Myriam Gros de Cournon. Myriam, je vais t'apeller ce soir pour organiser le livraison de ton cadeau surprise. Greg a fait le tirage au sort hier soir. Samedi était très bien passé et quelques nouvelles femmes connaissent mieux Stampin'Up! et comment ça marche. Merci à toutes qui sont fait l'effort de me rendre une visite samedi. J'ai écrit en francais parce que la gagnante est francais mais je vous promis rien au niveau des messages futurs en francais!

baby card

There hasn't been much time for crafting this week, we've had some work done in the house and I've had to move everything from my temporary craft room back into it's proper place. My legs are still hurting from what seemed like a thousand trips up and down the stairs. I managed to find half an hour to make a baby card for a friend with an old favourite teddy bear stamp and my favourite colours of the moment 'sage shadow and chocolate chip'.

Mes premiers achats du nouveau catalogue.

UPS sont passé hier avec ma première commande du nouveau catalogue, je suis trop contente d'avoir le perfo festonnée, ça va être très utile pour mes cartes. Maintenant je me dépèche de ranger la maison pour essayer de trouver un peu de temps de jouer avec les nouveautés!

I was just about to head out the door to do some food shopping (fridge and cupboards bare again) when the postie came by with another present for me. Kate in Normandy sent me a stamping magasine which I'll look at later with one of her cards tucked inside. I love it and had to publish the photo straight away, it's a gorgeous celery colour although the light outside doesn't show it off too well. I'm sure I'll recycle it to use as a birthday card for one of my family and pass the pleasure of receiving a hand made card on again. Thanks Kate.

Un Cadeau pour moi!

Yesterday I did a Stampin'Up! atelier in Chateaugay 'chez Delf' (she's in the grey t-shirt). Before I even had time to give her her hostess gift she presented me with a cute little material bag. It will certainly be useful as it's a perfect size and rigid enough to sit on the table for the scrap pieces of card you end up with when you're crafting. I love it, very autumnal colours also! There is a link to Delf's new blog 'couture' on the left hand side. I'm envious of people who can sew!

Anyway, there were 8 of us and we had a good afternoon trying out the same emboss resist technique I taught at Sophie's atelier the other week with all the stampin'Up! inks and stamps. The Stampin'Up! embossing powder is very fine and great for embossing detailed images. When the stamping was done there was lots of yummy home made things to eat (chocolate eclairs, myrtille brioche, shortbread and cake). Well............ we were hungry after all that work and talking.

Voilà, c'est simple.

LE catalogue précédent était beau, magnifique, sublime, mais celui la l'est encore plus c'est pour dire !!!!! Plein plein plein de nouveautés en tampons, en papiers, en embellissements (plein de surprises de ce coté là hihihih plein de bonnes nouvelles pour les scrapeuses !!!)Bref.... le choix va être difficile ;)
