Maybe Greg and Lewis should have kept their legs closed!

Good idea to wear underwear for showing off handstand moves.
Full length shot of my dress (thanks Ghislaine) and then Neil and his 2 brothers at the ball.

On Friday night I went to an Italian restaurant with friends from the forum 'ScrapAuvergne'. This message is for Aline and Delph who wanted to know the answer to the question 'what does a Scotsman wear under his kilt'? I told them that the answer was classified information. I did explain that it's perhaps a good idea to insist that the kids wear something when they are going to a wedding as they usually end up doing handstands or posing for photos without thinking what their nether regions look like. Aline and Lilyfofie also wanted to see a full length picture of my dress for the Duns ball as they'd seen it before it was altered by another friend from the forum, Ghislaine.
It was good to meet in person some of the names I've seen on the forum and I think we're having another gathering on the 21st September.
I seem to have 2 spare hours before my friend Kay arrives from Scotland so I'm going to try and make a couple of cards. Bye for now.

A week with friends in London.

What a great week we had in London! I must admit that I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the buzz of the city and the choice of things to do. We stayed in a cheap but good hostel just next to the Kensington Gardens side of Hyde Park. Greg and his friend Luke thought the Princess Diana memorial park was just the best place, a big pirate boat and lots of sand. Not so nice to walk in when we were back in the hostel bedroom and emptied sand from their pockets everywhere! The Natural History Museum was fantastic, as was the Science museum despite the fire alarm going off (a real fire was going on) and us having to return the next day. At both these museums there were a lot of hands on things for the kids to do and I still find it hard to believe that there is no admission fee.

We walked a lot and thanks to Kelly I now know how to navigate the underground system. We saw The Lion King at the theatre, a great show for kids and adults. I loved Covent Garden and all the street entertainers there, the boys were too shy to pose with the silver painted warrior but Ella was more than happy. Buckingham Palace was as to be expected, lots of people, a long wait and 10 mins of entertainment! Having said that, the day we went to the Palace we had a lovely walk from Westminster through a park with squirrels everywhere.

The hostel was 'The Royal Bayswater Hotel' if anyone is looking for a cheap and cheerful, central place to stay while visiting London.

Les Clubs Stampin'Up!

Les Clubs Stampin'up !

création de make and take
fiche technique
plaisir garanti !!!

OKAY, now the same in English, much easier for me!

I'd like to start up one or two Stamping Clubs this autumn.

What is a Stamping Club?

Each club requires 6 people to join up ( this can be a group of 6 friends who already know each other or an opportunity for you to meet 5 new friends)! The 6 agree to buy 37.95 euros worth of quality Stampin'Up! material once per month for an engagement of 6 consecutive months (Oct'08 - Mars'09).

Each month during this period, one of the 6 will be considered to be the hostess and as such will receive the usual hostess benefits, ie. a level 1 hostess present and 20 euros of Stampin'Up! merchandise to choose from the catalogue.
As well as the hostess benefits you will each receive a copy of the new catalogue and can participate in a workshop in my craft room (see photo above) each month. I'll demonstrate a technique at each workshop and you can join in and take your creations home. I'm sure that these workshops will be a lot of fun.

If you have a group of 6 friends interested in this exciting offer or if you want to join the waiting list for a new club then please get in touch with me. moira.mcilroy63@orange.fr

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Val for allowing me to copy/paste/amend her French translation of what a club consists of. It would have taken me an entirety and been full of spelling and verb mistakes! Val is a fellow demonstrator in Lyon and does a great job of promoting Stampin'Up! and their quality products.

Back to reality!

Hi everyone. Just about back to normal life after a busy summer of friends and family and holidays. Nearly 4 weeks in Scotland, 2 weeks with my sister and her family here then a week in London with the boys and a New Zealand family.
There's so much to say that I don't know where to start. I think I'll just give you a selection of photos and pop in holiday news as and when I can. The photos above are;
Neil and myself at the Duns ball.
Ryan and Greg posing with their cousins.
Ryan and Greg fishing on our camping trip.
Our old house in Scotland.
Ryan just after his operation for a broken elbow!
Ryan posing at my sister's house.
There are also lots of exciting things happening with Stampin'Up!, only one month now until the new catalogue is out, I can't wait! I'm in the middle of typing out some information about a Stamping club I want to start in October, I'll give you the details in French and English soon. It feels good to have the chance to be creative again after such a long break.

I'll write again soon.
